Dan Lee

 

Daniel Lee is a senior nonprofit leader with over 15 years of experience driving program strategy, implementation, and impact at scale. Currently serving as the Deputy Director, NYC for iMentor, they lead a team of 30+ staff delivering high-quality mentoring and college-and-career readiness programming to 1,700+ students across 11 public high schools. Their work focuses on strengthening systems, developing talent, and building cross-sector partnerships to ensure equity and access for first-generation and under-resourced students.

Under their leadership, iMentor NYC has achieved its highest college enrollment rates on record, with 82.2% of the 2023 cohort enrolling directly in college. They have also driven FAFSA completion to 86.8% for the Class of 2025 while maintaining a 97.3% college application rate across the program.

Previously, Daniel served as School Partnerships Director at City Year New York, where they managed strategic relationships in the South Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens to advance whole-school improvement initiatives. An AmeriCorps and City Year alumnus, they bring a deep passion for service and a proven track record of translating vision into measurable results.

Daniel is dedicated to closing the implementation gap in education by building strong teams, leveraging data for continuous improvement, and creating pathways for students to thrive beyond high school.
