Alyse Smith

 

ALYSE SMITH is a seasoned educator with 13 years of experience, specializing in promoting equity in quality instruction and fostering the development of exceptional learners. Originally from Dallas, TX, Alyse pursued her academic journey in Atlanta, where she obtained degrees in Psychology and Educational Psychology from Spelman College and The University of Georgia, respectively. With 8 years of teaching experience in both special and general education, Alyse transitioned into leadership roles, including serving as a special education lead teacher and assistant principal for 5 years. Currently, she holds the position of Director of Exceptional Education and Services at a charter school organization in Atlanta, GA. Alyse is excited to share her expertise and contribute to discussions at the Yale Education Leadership Conference.
