Ashley Jeffery

 

ASHLEY JEFFERY is the Director of Special Projects at Washington Leadership Academy Public Charter School in Northeast DC. Her career has included roles in research and policy analysis and in human rights organizations, Ashley focuses on improving K-12 schools by focusing on race and LGBTQ equity, college and career readiness, and utilizing AI. Ashley has been featured in The New York Times for co-starting the @BlackAt social media movement in Summer 2020 which exposed racism in private schools across the country, and in Education Week for her various policy reports on civics education and school safety.

Ashley holds a Master of Education in Education Policy and Management from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Washington University in St. Louis.
